Accessibility

At The Sebel Twin Waters, we strive to accommodate the diverse needs of all our guests, including those with mobility challenges. While we don't currently have dedicated accessible rooms, our open-plan apartments are designed with spacious layouts to provide ease of movement and comfort for all guests.

Our apartments feature wide doorways and corridors, allowing for easy navigation with mobility aids such as wheelchairs or walkers. The open-plan design ensures that there are no barriers or tight spaces that could impede movement within the living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms which have walk in showers.

We understand that external access is crucial for guests requiring mobility assistance, and we are happy to arrange for external ramps to be provided upon request. These ramps ensure smooth and safe entry and exit from the apartments, allowing guests to enjoy their stay with peace of mind.

Additionally, our friendly staff are available to assist with any specific accessibility needs or requests to ensure that every guest enjoys a comfortable and memorable stay with us.

Sustainability at The Sebel Twin Waters

Here at Sebel Twin Waters, we are committed to making a positive impact on the environment and our community. We believe that sustainability is not just a choice but a responsibility, and we are dedicated to integrating sustainable practices into every aspect of our operations. Our goal is to provide our guests with an eco-friendly and responsible stay while preserving the beauty of our planet for future generations

We are proud to share with you the following initiatives we have implemented within the resort from 2023;

Dry Amenities:

We are delighted to share our ongoing commitment to reducing single-use plastics in our guest rooms. As part of this initiative, we have made a significant decision to eliminate single-use dry amenities, taking a bold step towards a plastic-free environment and using Bamboo guest amenities from Biology.

We understand the importance of preserving our planet for future generations. By removing single-use plastic amenities such as toothbrushes, combs, and shower caps from our guest rooms, we are significantly reducing our environmental footprint. Instead, guests can request dry amenities by calling room service or visiting our friendly team at reception.

Large Amenities

As part of our ongoing efforts, we have made the proactive decision to move to large format amenities, replacing our single-use plastic common amenities with eco-friendly pump dispensers throughout the hotel. By eliminating single-use plastic bottles, we are significantly reducing the amount of waste generated by our operations. This commitment aligns with our dedication to environmental stewardship and reflects our ongoing efforts to improve sustainability in all aspects of our hotel.

Community Support & Guest Experience:

We are committed to maintaining strong connections with our local community and give back wherever possible.

  • Participate in the 'Containers for Change' recycling program with 25% of funds reinvested to buy native plants to support regeneration in our Hotel gardens.
  • Annual Christmas donation drive for 'Sunny Kids'. Our staff and owners collect gifts for local underprivileged children within the Sunshine Coast.
  • Supporting local businesses - our in-room art is supplied by local small businesses and artists and our welcome amenities are purchased from local suppliers – Naked Chocolate Company who use biodegradable packaging on all their items.
  • DreamGreen Sustainable bedding in our guests rooms, crafted from high quality recycled bottles turned into luxury bedding creating a ‘Dream’ guest Experience.

By choosing to stay with us, you are not only enjoying a relaxing getaway in the Sunshine Coast but also supporting our commitment to a greener, more sustainable future. Thank you for joining us on this journey towards a better world.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about our sustainability practices, please don't hesitate to contact us. Together, we can make a difference!
