Surrounded by pristine Tasmanian wilderness, Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge is a haven of warm hospitality, equipped with three flexible event rooms catering for up to 85 delegates.

Just 2 hours scenic drive from Launceston and 1.5 hours from Devonport, this superb escape is ideal if you are looking for an outstanding location, incredible dining, privacy and a conference location to remember. While the lodge is suitable for meetings and events, it is certainly an ideal destination for executive retreats. The Lodge’s Cabins and Suites place delegates and executives right among the alpine wilderness. The Cabins feature gas fireplaces, mini bars and day beds. Suites also include spa baths and balconies for extra relaxation. There are a number of options at the Lodge for dining, drinks and themed events. Activities are plentiful, everything from fly-fishing to a gourmet master-class. The Waldheim Alpine Spa and experienced Lodge kitchen can expertly cater to any event.

Catering

The Highland Restaurant offers a sumptuous fine dining experience complete with a large open wood fire. Featuring the very best of Tasmanian food and wine, our restaurant is where delegates can enjoy the mountain buffet breakfast and a la carte dinner from a constantly evolving seasonal menu. Also open every day, The Tavern Bar & Bistro provides a casual, rustic tavern atmosphere for lunch. If it suits, the restaurant can also package up beverage selections, canape orders, a hiker’s lunch or picnic hampers by arrangement.

Accommodation

Delegates can enjoy seclusion and privacy in a queen bed cabin or the even more luxurious king bed suites. Either way, your delegates will love the way their accommodation is integrated into the pristine surrounds. Some options also include the added indulgence of a deep spa bath or hot tub. For even more indulgence, direct delegates to the Waldheim Alpine Spa. The Day Spa menu reflects the natural purity of the wilderness, resulting in a harmonious and deeply relaxing experience. Other amenities include our restaurant, tavern, lounge bar and guest lounge. While remote, our lodge is equipped with Wi-Fi availability and our own Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge Store.

For a unique experience, delegates can enjoy the spectacular natural beauty on a night spotlighting adventure. Spot wombats, possums, pademelons and wallabies from the comfort of the vehicle.

Guided Walks

Catering for all levels of fitness, delegates can really learn about the World Heritage park, birds and wildlife of this unique area, as well as experience its pristine nature and iconic views.

Fly Fishing

During summer months delegates can learn the delicate art of fly fishing from a country highland expert. The Lodge has a pond stocked with Rainbow Trout to better guarantee a rewarding experience.

Wine & Cheese Tasting

Treat your delegates and executives to a hosted tour of hand-crafted cool climate wines and boutique cheeses at a signature tasting event, showcasing Tasmania’s gourmet reputation.
