Regional Victoria’s premier conferencing venue and Lorne’s only beachfront resort – Mantra Lorne – has recently completed a impressive $1million upgrade, and we're excited to share with you the first pictures!
The impressive refurbishment is designed to enhance historic elements of the property, and is in keeping with the property's heritage listing standards.
The refurbishment project includes upgrades to the property’s unique Heritage Ballroom. A 180 capacity banquet style or 350 capacity theatre style venue built in 1864, the Heritage Ballroom was converted from the stables of the former Erskine House and lovingly restored to maintain its original character. The new lighting, window treatments, air conditioning, furnishings and structural work will complement the heritage elements with contemporary conveniences and further enhance the space.
The Larder restaurant at Mantra Lorne – already highly regarded for its superb Italian influenced steak house cuisine and outlook over the seagrass lawns out to the beachfront – has a brand new bar along with a spectacular new fireplaces to create a cosy spaces for the winter months, complemented by impressive feature lighting.
The Observatory (formerly the Corner Café) together with the Heritage and Private Dining rooms for smaller gatherings also incorporate new décor and fittings. These venues are also a perfect option for small weddings and celebrations.
“These enhancements to Mantra Lorne will further improve on the conferencing and dining offerings we have in place here and really make these spaces stand out as the premier venue in the region,” said Mantra Lorne’s General Manager Abraham Dow.
There are eleven superb conference spaces at Mantra Lorne with capacity for up to 520 delegates in the main auditorium, the Convention Room. This venue can also be split into three separate rooms with a capacity of 170 delegates each room.
