Experiences
Set on the mighty Murray River, Albury Wodonga is the ultimate meeting place. It’s the meeting place of two states, of heritage charm and modern sophistication, of urban life and a rural environment, of a progressive arts scene and traditional country-style activities. Big enough to offer diversity, but also small enough to retain its friendly atmosphere, Albury Wodonga offers a veritable smorgasbord of events and activities to please any palate.
Cycle along the Murray River, wander through a local farmers market or explore the region’s new and emerging food and wine precinct, Junction Place. MAMA, the Murray Art Museum Albury, is only a three minute walk from the hotel and an absolute must see. Alternatively, indigenous art can be enjoyed outdoors, along the Yindamurra Sculpture Walk. For concerts or live entertainment, check guides for what’s on at Albury Entertainment Centre or The Cube, Wodonga.
For water lovers Lake Hume is only a 15 minute drive from town and the place where you can joins locals for some yachting, canoeing, swimming, fishing, water-skiing and paddle-boarding. Pack a picnic and make a day of it.
